"Dear Windwalker Company,
A dear friend of mine recommended your services highly to me earlier tonight. She told me you were quite efficient and discreet, which is precisely what I need. If you're not aware, I am the owner of the most successful mining business in the Kingdom; the Inafiel Mining Company.
I tend to approach my business with a hands-on attitude; I keep books myself, I supervise the smelting floors myself, and I handle the scheduling of weekly shipments of ore from the mines.
One of my mines, the Rydarr's Knuckles Mine, recently stopped sending their shipments of iron ore to the smelting floors. Three weeks worth of shipments have failed to show up, and every letter I sent to the foreman, Gol Garmak, went unanswered.
I contracted another mercenary company, and even they failed to return with any word. I fear that the miners may have mutinied and turned to banditry, or worse, started selling my ore for cheap. You understand that I cannot allow this.
I can offer you a negotiable payment of five thousand gold in bank notes – plus traveling expenses – if you would be so kind as to discover why the shipments have stopped. If foul play was involved, I would also like you to bring back evidence. If everything is fine, then I'd like a written explanation from Foreman Garmak as to why three weeks of shipments failed to arrive.
Please, be safe!
Lord Wyman Inafiel, Chairman Inafiel Mining Company"

Hot on the heels of their last contract, the Wind-Walkers found a letter tacked to their door upon their return from a night of revelry and celebration. A mining magnate required their assistance, and at the crack of dawn on the next day, they set off for the Rydarr's Knuckles mine.
They found the small encampment surrounding the mine chillingly empty. Only a few splatters of blood gave any clue as to what had happened. After investigating the buildings and tents in the small village and finding nothing but a few bodies, covered in fungus, they decided to send Jor'n – alone – to investigate the mine.
It wasn't long before Jor'n discovered exactly what fate the town had met with. Small, disgusting creatures that appeared as though they were amalgamations of random limbs, bones, and fungal growths attacked him in force, seemingly pouring out of the depths of the mine. Through judicious (read; fucking badass) applications of his tower shield, Jor'n emerged victorious, calling in Sarren and Bovo once most of the fighting had ended. Not much farther into the mine, the Wind-Walkers encountered the few survivors of whatever had befallen the mining village – among them Gol Garmak, the mine foreman – and escorted them to the safety of Northgate (and the financial safety of hazard pay), neglecting the rest of the mine and whatever it might have held in favor of fresh air and payment.
They then demanded double their original payment from Lord Inafiel, who, apologetic to an extreme, obliged their avaricious requests.
GM Notes: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA JOR'N IS FUCKING BROKEN AS SHIT. Also, I accidentally used a female dwarf token for Gol Garmak. I'm just that forward-thinking. help i'm a dumbass
