Radamadar

Radamadar is the Alarusian philosophy of balance.

  • Balance the scales; if things are good, do evil, if things are evil, do good
  • Anima Sola (Lonely Soul) is the judge
  • When halflings die, they return to the spirit world
  • Must be an equal amount of souls in living and spirit world
  • Some souls are worth more than others, actions = more worth
  • Each action has a Good or Evil value attached
  • Souls are reincarnated to maintain balance
  • Smaller souls are more likely to be reincarnated sooner; less impact on overall balance
  • Larger souls are less likely to be reincarnated sooner; more impact on overall balance
  • Group of ascetic monks try to move as little as possible and do as little as possible to make the worth of their souls almost nil, guaranteeing that they'll be reincarnated much sooner
  • A pair of monastic orders, devoted to "good" and "evil" respectively, do as much as possible, trying to tip the balance in favor of one side to influence the actions of the Alarusian populace as a whole; therefore, the evil monks are actually good, and the good monks are actually evil, and so on
